The types of equipment subject to technical inspection are specified in the Cabinet Regulation of 7 December 2012 on the types of technical equipment subject to technical inspection.

The forms of technical inspection as well as the types and scope of and deadlines for technical tests for individual types of technical equipment are specified in regulations setting out technical inspection conditions to be met by this equipment.

If the technical inspection conditions have not been determined for technical equipment, this equipment may be designed, manufactured, repaired or upgraded on the basis of technical conditions agreed with the competent technical inspection authority (Article 8(6) of the Technical Inspection Act).
